NASSIT Director General Inspects Moyamba District Office Ahead of Commissioning

The Director General of the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT), Mohamed Fuaad Daboh, on Sunday, 16th November 2025, inspected the newly constructed NASSIT District Office in Moyamba ahead of its official commissioning.

Following the inspection, Mr. Daboh noted that the establishment of the District Office stemmed from a needs assessment conducted in 2023, which identified the necessity of expanding the Trust’s services to underserved districts. He expressed deep appreciation to His Excellency, President Rtd. Brigadier General Julius Maada Bio, for his unwavering support and political commitment to ensuring nationwide social protection.

“Our determination to expand our services to every corner of the country is driven by the President’s desire to bring social protection to all Sierra Leoneans,” the Director General stated.

He applauded the contractors for the quality of work delivered and encouraged Sierra Leoneans to always demonstrate excellence when contributing to national development.

“This office will not only increase our visibility and bring services closer to the people of Moyamba, but it will also support revenue growth and create job opportunities for the district,” he added.

Mr. Daboh also urged the designated District Manager to maximise the opportunities the new facility offers and to deliver efficient, people-centred services. “This office exists to bring services closer to our people. That objective must be achieved, nothing more, nothing less,” he emphasised.

Deputy Director General of Operations, Edwin Mohamed Kamara, assured the Director General that the full value of the Moyamba office would be realised. He further encouraged the Head of Administration, the Regional Coordinator, and the Regional Manager (South) to prioritise completion of the remaining snag list before the commissioning.

Expressing gratitude for the confidence placed in him, the designated District Manager, Samuel Margai, pledged his commitment to ensuring that the district fully benefits from the new office and that its intended impact is achieved.
