In her keynote address, the Minister remarked: “The One Nation Reggae Festival is not merely an entertainment event it is a symbolic reminder that our greatest strength as a nation lies in our unity and diversity. Through music, we communicate love, resilience, and our collective determination to build a stronger Sierra Leone.”
Guests were treated to energetic live reggae performances, traditional cuisine, cultural showcases, and open networking sessions. The relaxed atmosphere allowed public officials and citizens to interact informally, cultivating deeper social connections beyond the confines of official engagements.
The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs has announced plans to institutionalise the festival as an annual national event, rotating across regions to promote domestic tourism and highlight Sierra Leone’s rich cultural heritage. The initiative is also expected to boost public–private partnerships within the creative sector, further strengthening the country’s cultural and entertainment landscape.
