The culinary industry in Sierra Leone is celebrating the appointment of Chef Fanta Fofanah, CEO of Fanta’s Kitchen Catering Service and Restaurant, as the new Acting Secretary General of the Professional Chefs Association of the Republic of Sierra Leone (PCARSL).
Chef Fofanah is widely recognized for her innovation, discipline, and commitment to raising culinary standards. Her work has helped redefine Sierra Leonean cuisine by blending traditional flavors with modern culinary techniques.
Members of the association commended her leadership and collaborative spirit, noting her contributions to food safety advocacy, professional training, and support for local agricultural suppliers.

As Acting Secretary General, Chef Fofanah is expected to champion initiatives aimed at chef development, industry standardization, and the elevation of culinary arts as a vital component of Sierra Leone’s cultural and economic landscape.
